It’s been many years now since Casa Voyager has given itself the task to promote emerging and alternative musical styles in Morocco. By offering young promising talents the opportunity to gain visibility on the international scene, Casa Voyager is taking the lead.
The idea of this platform for expression first came to life in 2012 in the form of a spontaneous movement of four artists: Kosh, Polyswitch, Yacine Hajji, and Driss Bennis. Frustrated by the lack of diversity in the spectre of alternative culture and eager to live their passion in a difficult context, they were set to no longer let the creative process be inhibited by social norms and barriers.
After Driss Bennis’ move to Berlin in 2015 and with the help of friends, he launched the label in 2017 with the release of a cassette tape in loving memory of ambition. Casa Voyager is for the curious amateur in need of adventurous electronic music that is so dearly missing from the Moroccan cultural landscape.
